Serve with our Stuff

 
 
Do you have stuff you don't need?  Lots of us do.  More importantly, do you find that it's your stuff that often gets in the way of putting God first?  Lots of us have!  One great way we have found to free ourselves from the love of stuff is to donate.  Just give our stuff away.  But what can you do with it?  How can you get it to people who DO need it?  Well, that's where we come in.  Listed below are a few of the ways we have found to take our extras and get them to people in need.
 
 

Coat Drive

During the month of October, Epiphany provides “the warmth of God’s love” by collecting and distributing coats, mittens, hats, and blankets to the men and women of Fairhaven Place and the Central Ohio community.

Household Items
 
New or gently used household items are always needed. Do you have dishes, cookware, lamps, bedding, clothing or small furniture items that you don't need?  A detailed list can be found on the bulletin board located at the north end of the building and the collection bins are located below the bulletin board.  All of these items are donated to Fairhaven Place, a transitional housing program for homeless men and women of Fairfield County. Located in Lancaster, it is a building with 20 units sponsored by Lutheran Social Services.

Book Collection
New and gently used books are collected for the men and women of Fairhaven Place as well. The collection bin is located on the north wall of the Gathering Space.

Ink, Phones and Eye Glasses

Used printer cartridges can be refilled and resold for a profit. Food for the Poor can provide 20 pounds of rice and beans, which will feed 80 children. Funds also provide housing and medical aid for the poor.

Eye glasses and old cell phones are collected and donated to families in need.  See our collection bin in the gathering space  for all of these items and more!
