Bright Beginnings

Fridays

This class is designed to be a bridge between the home and a child's first time in a classroom alone.  Bright Beginnings focuses on nurturing independence, social-emotional growth, and early learning through play, incorporating sensory exploration, music, art, and stories.  Activities include art, building, movement, simple math/science, and routine circle times, with picture-based routines supporting toddlers in understanding schedules and growing autonomy, even assisting with early toileting skills.  This class starts by having a parent/caregiver attend with the child from September -December.  Beginning in January, students put their learning into practice as they attend class on their own!  Classes are Fridays from 9am - 11am through December.  January-May, classes are 9am - 11:30 with drop off beginning at 8:30am.

Tuesdays

Thursdays

This class is designed to be your child’s first introduction to school. The focus in this class is on developing social and emotional skills, as well as the academic basics (such as colors and shapes, etc.), establishing a secure detachment from caregivers, establishing some independence, learning how to participate in a group setting, and very early school skills (ie. walking in a line, following teacher directions, controlling ones body, etc.). Children are exposed daily to music, literature, group activities taking turns, sharing, etc.  Our class is a play based curriculum to meet the needs of our youngest learners.  Please know that our teachers are experts at determining what skills students have and what they need to learn next.  We strive to meet children where they are developmentally and support them going forward. Classes are Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9-Noon. With drop off beginning at 8:30am.
