The name Epiphany comes from a Greek New Testament word that means "to manifest" or "to shine forth". We at Epiphany believe God has called us to manifest the light shown to us in God's son, Jesus Christ. A word from Pastor Tim…
Welcome to Epiphany Lutheran Church’s electronic “home.” We’re glad you stopped in! As a relative newcomer to Epiphany and Pickerington (5/8/06), it’s easy for me to issue an invitation to “get to know us,” since it’s what I’m doing, too!
I’ve found Epiphany to be full of people who are glad to be here, who are exploring and growing in the faith, and who are really interested in sharing the love of God with others. They don’t seem to be too pushy even with me, although they’ve been waiting for a “regular pastor for about two years! I can’t imagine you’d find anything but a warm welcome and a place to journey with others toward newness.
That’s what the love of God in Jesus offers all of us: newness. Just where we want to let the old go and begin afresh, that’s what Jesus offers. Just where we are worn out from ways of living that don’t finally satisfy, that where Jesus meets us. This isn’t a group of folks with all the answers. This is a group that looks for those places and times where Jesus meets us, one and all.
I’d be great if you’d risk joining us for a Sunday worship experience, or perhaps you have a child or children who would enjoy our Christian Education or Youth program. Or maybe you have musical gifts you’re looking for a place to exercise. Or maybe you just need a place to stop in and catch your breath.
We’d love to meet you and welcome you and share God’s love together!
